Loneliness is strange because sometimes it shows up when you're not even alone. You're in a room with people, or a group chat, or sitting across from family, and everyone is talking, laughing, moving around like everything is normal 🪑 But inside, you feel far away. Like there's glass between you and everyone else. You nod. You smile. You say, 'Yeah, I'm good' even though some quiet part of you is begging someone to ask better.
That doesn't make you ungrateful. It means you want to be known, not just surrounded 🌙 And there's such a big difference. Noise isn't connection. Being included isn't always the same as being held. Sometimes people know your schedule but not your heart. They know your jokes but not your tiredness. They know your face but not the thing behind your eyes 😮💨 You deserve spaces where you don't have to translate your whole soul to be understood. You deserve people who notice when your laugh is a little thinner than usual. Until then, please don't call your need for depth 'too much' 🤍 It's not. It's human. Tonight, tell the truth somewhere safe, even if it's just in your notes app or into the dark. Your real self still deserves a witness.
