When you're always needed, it can become confusing. You know how to support, reply, advise, fix, remember birthdays, sense moods, send long paragraphs at the perfect time 📱 But when nobody needs anything for a minute, you sit there like, 'Okay, but who am I now?'
You are allowed to exist outside of being useful 🧦🤍 That's a hard truth if love taught you to earn your place by carrying things. But your worth is not measured by how quickly you become someone's safe place. You get to have preferences that don't serve anyone. You get to be boring. Silly. Quiet. Unavailable. Bad at replying sometimes. You get to take up space without turning yourself into emotional furniture for others 🪑 Tonight, ask yourself one tiny question that has nothing to do with anyone else's needs. What do I want? Even if the answer is just, 'sleep' or 'toast' or 'silence.' Start there.
