You know resentment is building when your mind starts keeping receipts 🧾 Every time you showed up. Every time they didn't. Every plan you made. Every apology you swallowed. Every moment you said, 'It's okay,' and then later your chest whispered, 'No it wasn't.'
Resentment is not proof that you're bad 😮💨🤍 It's often proof that something has been uneven for too long. Your heart is tired of paying full price for a relationship where the other person keeps forgetting their wallet. Before resentment hardens, listen to it. What do you need to say? What do you need to stop doing? Where have you been over-giving to avoid disappointment? Tonight, don't shame the bitterness. Decode it. It may be pointing to a boundary, a conversation, or an ending you've been avoiding. Peace sometimes begins when you stop pretending the imbalance doesn't hurt 🌙
